The Problems Occur in The
Seams
The
biggest disadvantage lies in the integrity of the seams. For the
membrane to accept enough stress to make its strength desirable, the
seams must also be able to live up to the same standards, as well as the edges; and
this is where the problems begin.
PACE has a system that can repair the seams and flashings to prevent
further water entry at these vulnerable points. Building owners can
easily avoid the high cost of expensive Roofing Contractors by using
their own maintenance people to apply.
One person can handle the work quickly and easily.
PACE's
NEOPRENE 66 Rubberized Roof Cement
,
WHITE-STAR
and
SEAM-LOCK
Membrane, a polyester fabric specially designed to reinforce weak seams
will seal and waterproof the Single Ply System quickly, economically
and permanently. A topcoat of
WHITE-STAR Rubber Base Roof Coating
completes the repair.

The Single Ply Roof Repair Kit consists of 3-5 gallon (or 20 litre)
pails of
NEOPRENE 66, 1-5 gallon (20 litre) pail of
WHITE-STAR and 4" X
300' of
SEAM-LOCK Membrane. One kit will repair 300' of seam.
It's recommended for patch and repair on Hypalon, EPDM (Ethylene
Propylene Diene Monomer) and modified bitumen roofs no longer under
warranty.
Because the Single-Ply membrane roofs on the market today are
normally either black or white, we make
WHITE-STAR available in
black and white to match the cosmetics of the existing roof.
